Read moreOn Friday, Sept. 13th, the Seminole Chieftains traveled west to take on the Tecumseh Savages for game two of their 2024 campaign. A stellar defensive performance helped the Chieftains defeat the Savages, 24-8. With the win, Seminole starts the season with a 2-0 record for the first time since 2021. A packed Seminole crowd would watch the Chieftains start off the game with a bang, as Safety Donovin Garfield picked up a fumble in the Tecumseh backfield and took it 51 yards to the house. A successful two-point conversion gave Seminole an 8-0 lead midway through the 1st quarter. From there, the two teams would trade punts back and forth until the Chieftains struck again with eight minutes left in the half. A pass from QB Dontre Garfield to WR Landon Bowling for a 48-yard touchdown reception would extend Seminole’s lead to 16-0.
