Maxine Viola (Laxton) Davis was born on September 2nd, 1932 to Homer and Viola Laxton. She was born into a family full of love with nine brothers and sisters, with Maxine being the sixth child. Maxine later attended school in Bowlegs, OK. Maxine was attending church in Seminole, OK with her family in which she snuck out to go to a movie. Little did Maxine know, she would meet Clifton, the love of her life, on her way to sneak back to the church. Since then, Maxine and Clifton have been inseparable with over 74 years of marriage.

Cummings Michael “Mike” Keith Cummings was born January 6th, 1947, in Vallejo, California to Buiel and Alice Cummings. He attended Benecia High School and belonged to the graduate class of 1964. After High School, he joined the U.S. Navy and spent many years touring places such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Guam, Tahiti, and more on the USS Turner Joy. Upon returning, he attended a baseball game where he met Joan Ellen Thurlo. A few short years later, the pair snuck away to Reno, Nevada, where they were married alongside Mike’s brother. They went on to have two daughters, who they raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and spend 44 years of marriage together. Mike worked for ODOT for 20 years, for the Cities of Seminole and Wewoka, and renovating properties.

Lena Geraldine “Jerry” Sullivan, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away at the age of 99 on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Jerry was born November 17, 1923 in Seminole to Winford Fisor Matthews and Ira Dell (Barnett) Matthews. She attended Seminole Schools and graduated from Seminole High School and she was named Valedictorian of her senior class. She married Herman Cecil Sullivan, Jr. on December 5, 1943 in Seminole. She worked as a secretary in the insurance office of her husband and also in the oilfield.
