Shane Duke Pebworth

Seminole resident Shane Duke Pebworth passed away at the age of 60 on February 10, 2024 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born at Holdenville General Hospital on November 15, 1963 to H.L. Pebworth and Rosetta (Clark) Pebworth. He attended Pleasant Grove school in Seminole from head start to graduation in 1982. Shane leaves behind classmates from Pleasant Grove; Jerry Atkinson, Ronnie Cole and Wes Womack.

During his working career, Shane worked at Miller Plant Farm, Wrangler, Seminole Nation I-40 Casino in surveillance and Sigma where he retired from due to his health. Shane loved to play pool with his friend, the late Henry English and they would go every weekend on the road to play.

Left to cherish Shane’s memory are his son; Ky Lynn Pebworth, two granddaughters; Allison Marie Pebworth and Cassity Pebworth, who he loved very much, his mother; Rosetta Pebworth and his brother Wayne Pebworth, both of the home, his sister; Nicole Rice, nephews; Nash Chamberlain of Jay, Oklahoma and Justin Pebworth of Seminole, Oklahoma, niece; Kamry Chamberlain of Claremore, Oklahoma, many cousins, OU buddies; Larry Deere, Steve Yeager and Greg Hardin and friends; Heath Richards, Joe Wise, Bruce Cully, Freddy Foot-Racer, Leslie Hines, Sharon Douglas, Kathy Whitson, Sharon Coker and Annie Harjo.

Viewing for Shane will begin Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home followed by a wake service from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow. Sand Creek Baptist Church will conduct the service with Jason Tiger officiating and Farrell Smith giving the eulogy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
