There is a rapidly growing sense of outrage in the community as news spreads concerning the defacing of a work of art located in Chase Park. The colorful painting was a collaborative effort between the Seminole Arts Council and an Edmond artist and her art students last summer hoping to “bring some light into the community through art” in contrast to the damage caused by the May 4 tornado. The Seminole Arts Council raised approximately $1,000 for materials and transportation costs, and Edmond artist Jennifer Cocoma Hustis and the students in her “Art of Horsemanship” program donated their time and labor to the project.
