KOSU is expanding its newsroom staff with a new reporter to cover agriculture and rural issues. Reporter Seth Bodine comes to KOSU as a member of Report for America, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities.

Oklahoma has seen the largest increase in unemployment claims in the United States over the past year, according to personal finance website WalletHub. The state has seen a 2,507.19% increase in unemployment claims from June 2019 to June 2020, which ranks as the highest increase in the nation.

Seminole Water Department Reinstates Shut-offs

The City of Seminole Water Department will be resuming shut-offs as of July 6. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, the department has not shut off their services due to non-payment as a courtesy to their clients as well as a recognition of the trying times in which everyone is living.
