The Community Market of Pottawatomie County mobile unit visited Seminole on Thursday, Oct. 14. The mobile unit allows the Community Market to offer smaller communities in the area the same service they provide at their main store, located in Shawnee at 120 S. Center Street. The mobile unit currently travels to nine different locations each month.

The 21st Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony was held at the Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) Headquarters on Tuesday, October 12. This annual event provides a dignified disposal of unserviceable American flags and is a joint effort by the American Legion of District 4 and CVEC. American Legion District 4 includes Posts in Seminole, Pontotoc, Hughes, Pottawatomie, Okfuskee, Creek, Lincoln, and Coal Counties.

Marin Adams is a new member of Seminole Youth Council who attended the October meeting said, “at our youth council meeting, we discussed some upcoming events including the Halloween Festival on Main Street, The Hall of Fame Ceremony and Seminole’s Snowman Wonderland. We heard from Mr. Neil Craig about the impact he has had on our community and learn a little bit about him and his service.”
