Rainmaker Triggers Area Flood Warnings

A powerful storm system barreled across Seminole County Tuesday and Wednesday, triggering flood warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS). The system produced heavy rainfall beginning after midnight Tuesday and at press time, the 24-hour rainfall total for the Seminole area was 3.21 inches.

Blood Drive This Friday At Firehouse

The “Battle of the Badges” blood drive is scheduled for this Friday, April 30 from 11 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. at the Seminole Fire Department. Donors who “rise up and give” will receive a t-shirt and one free adult admission to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Car Show Planned For May 3 To Benefit Downtown District

The newly formed Seminole Downtown District group will be staging a car show next month as a fundraiser for making improvements throughout the downtown area. The event, organized by Gabriel Vasquez, has been scheduled for Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
