Click It or Ticket Enforcement Campaign Launches

As the Memorial Day holiday approaches, the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office (OHSO) and Oklahoma law enforcement want to remind all drivers of the importance of seat belt use. The annual ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign is a high-visibility enforcement effort that runs from May 24 through June 6, 2021.

Regents Lift SSC Campus-Wide Mask Mandate

Seminole State College will no longer require masks on campus except in limited settings – a decision made at the May 20 Board of Regents meeting. The Board voted to repeal the campus-wide mask mandate put into place on June 23, 2020. This decision will go into effect immediately.

SHS to Offer STEM-Based Aviation Curriculum

Seminole High School is implementing a new curriculum focused on the second-leading industry in the State of Oklahoma- aeronautics. The Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) developed the innovative curriculum, set to begin in the fall of 2021 at SHS.

Westward Bound

The SSC Trojans Softball team boarded a bus Friday morning bound for the NJCAA National Tournament in Yuma, Arizona that will begin May 25. The team cinched the Region II Tournament in Muskogee last week, winning three games back-to-back.
