Read moreVarnum Public Schools would like to announce that Varnum High School student Kamryn Brewer is the 2020-2021 recipient of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship, which is given on behalf of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and the Gaylord-Pickens Museum. The scholarship applicants are evaluated based on a combination of academic achievement, civic/ community involvement, leadership, and a series of essay questions. The essay questions focus primarily on what it means to be an Oklahoman. Every year the judges choose one overall winner for a $6,000 scholarship as well as a few $1,000 scholarships. Brewer was the recipient of the largest scholarship award and took home the $6,000 scholarship.
