The Bisonettes will sing during the morning worship service, beginning at 10:45 a.m. The Bisonettes are under the direction of Dr. Kelsey D’Emilio, assistant professor of music. The choir is one of the many musical ensembles within the OBU Division of Music.

Read moreOKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health has announced the completion and opening of its new pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The 25-bed unit is the only pediatric CICU of its kind in the state, dedicated solely to the care of children with a range of heart conditions. One of the unit’s distinctive elements is comprehensive care for children who are heart transplant patients. Jon Hayes, President of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, said the CICU expansion represents strategically planned growth that makes the heart center at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital the best choice for superior cardiac intensive care.

The event features educational speakers and entertainment, the annual business meeting of Oklahoma Farmers Union and American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Insurance Company, discussion and adoption of AFR legislative policy and officer elections. This year’s convention theme was “One AFR.”
Read moreOKLAHOMA CITY – Members of the Oklahoma Senate Education Committee today advanced a bill that would allow parents to use a portion of their state education tax dollars to offset expenses for private school tuition or homeschooling. Senate Bill 1647, the Oklahoma Empowerment Act, will now proceed to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The bill was authored by Senate Pro Tem Greg Treat, with the strong support of Governor Kevin Stitt, who said in his State of the State address that passing SB 1647 would make Oklahoma a national leader in school choice.
