HR Coordinator Honored For Two Decades of Service to City

Posted in:

The City of Seminole would like to congratulate LaDonna Vanlandingham on her 20-year work anniversary with The City. Vanlandingham calls Seminole her hometown. She graduated from Seminole State College, and her two daughters graduated from Seminole High School and Seminole State College.

Right after she graduated, Vanlandingham started as Executive Assistant to the City Manager and within a few months moved to Human Resources Coordinator. She has continued in that position and currently handles payroll and other HR tasks. She says, “I love working with employees and citizens to make Seminole a better place to live. I have seen so many good things happen while working for The City.”

City Manager Steve Saxon said, “Every successful organization has key people that are known for being the ‘GLUE’ that holds the crew together through thick and thin. LaDonna has been our glue for many years.”

Vanlandingham loves working at City of Seminole because of the friendly atmosphere. “No one is a stranger and we take care of each other like family. Not only do we know each other’s names, we know details. For example, my co-workers know what I like to order at different restaurants, and I know their order,” she said.

“I have lived other places during my life, but have always circled back to Seminole by choice,” Vanlandingham said. She advises everyone to appreciate “small town life and the benefits of a slower paced life” that Seminole has to offer. “I love it here and hope to have a long prosperous career with City.”
