First responders, and their guests, representing 26 emergency response departments across Seminole County were honored Saturday evening at a “Patriot’s Day Dinner” sponsored by community leaders and businesses. The event included a special visit and comments by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt.

The City of Seminole realized gains in both local sales tax and use tax revenue with the September distribution from the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC).
According to the OTC, the city received a sales tax distribution of $523,558.
The Seminole Board of County Commissioners discussed their options filling an empty seat on the Seminole County Public Building Authority, which oversees the Seminole County Jail.

Two different funding opportunities, the Oklahoma Healthy Food Financing Program and the Agricultural Enhancement and Diversification Program, are now available through the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. Applications will close Oct. 1, 2021.
