Oklahoma Baptist University announces the launch of three new engineering programs beginning with the fall semester of 2023. The degree options will include Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. Each of the degree programs will be taught in a context that relates to the aerospace industry but will prepare students for entry into any industry requiring these engineering degrees.

One participant brought a pottery bowl that was engraved with “Water is Life” in many different languages. That bowl is a symbol of Martin-Hill’s lifework – to honor and celebrate the sacramental gift that water is to all peoples using the stories and myths of her culture, the Haudenosaunee peoples of Canada’s Six Nations of the Grand River.

Read moreSeveral Seminole State College students recently attended the Broadway production of “Hairspray” at the Oklahoma City Civic Center. The Student Support Services (SSS) and STEM Student Support Services (STEM SSS) Projects sponsored the event. The purpose of the trip was for participants of the programs to have an opportunity to experience a performing arts event that is not typically accessible to them and to be exposed to an enriching cultural performance. Students were also treated to dinner at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill in Bricktown and a brief stroll down the OKC Riverwalk.
