SSC Educational Foundation to Host Annual Spring Banquet

The Seminole State College Educational Foundation will host its 28th Annual Spring Banquet on Thursday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on campus. The event recognizes accomplishments by alumni, employees and students.

Veterans Park in Konawa was filled with children, parents, grandparents and others for the Annual Community Egg Hunt sponsored by First Baptist Church. Special eggs containing prizes were hidden for the kids to find and free hot dogs and lemonade were offered to those attending.

Seminole Sales Tax Revenue up For Month, Year

The March press release from the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) shows the City of Seminole, which has a 0.04 percent sales tax, saw a rise in tax revenue for the month of April compared to last month. The release showed this revenue was also higher compared to April last year.

Labor Commissioner to Speak at Thursday Chamber Forum

Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Leslie Osborn will be the guest speaker at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce monthly forum meeting on Thursday, April 13. The forum luncheon will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Haney Center at Seminole State College.
