SSC’s PR Team Wins Best of Show at Competition

Seminole State College’s Public Relations team earned the Best of Show award at the 2025 Oklahoma College Public Relations Association (OCPRA) Annual Conference, held July 13-15 at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Catoosa.

OBN Serves Warrants On Local Pot Dispensary

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) was in Seminole this week, serving search warrants at a local weed dispensary that was allegedly operating illegally. A heavy law enforcement presence was in place early Friday morning outside of the Reefer Shack at 520 East Broadway.

Rematches Set For 2025 Muscogee Council Elections

On the eve of the fiveyear anniversary of the McGirt v. Oklahoma decision that acknowledged its reservation’s existence, the Muscogee Nation’s election board announced that 18 full citizens filed to run for one of the eight “B” seats during the 2025 Muscogee National Council election cycle.
