Tessie “Lorene” Chandler
Seminole, OK resident Tessie “Lorene” Chandler passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Seminole at the age of 99. Lorene was born on February 7, 1927 in Chickasha, OK to William Payton and Mary Floy (Smyth) Drewry. She was a graduate of Butner High School. Lorene worked as a seamstress for many years. She married Claudie Chandler in September 1947. She went to many rodeos, playdays and softball games following her kids and grandkids.
Lorene is survived by her daughter, Marifloy Chandler of Seminole; daughter-in-law, Patricia Chandler of Arizona; grandchildren, Christi and David Lynaugh, Steven and Amber Files, Jamie Jones and bonus grandson, Scott; great grandkids, Gavin, Ty, Trussin, Zoey and bonus grandkids, Mallory, Cody, Jacey, Zane, Madi and Leigha; her fur babies; and many other family and friends.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claudie Chandler; son, Curtis Chandler and nine brothers and sisters, Houston and Lois Drewry, Carl and Dovie Drewry, Otis and Willie Drewry, Jay and Leta Drewry, Brice and Jewel Drewry, Alma and Carvin Thorsen, Violet and Raymond Robbins, Louise and Raymond Smith and Mary and Boyd Williams.

Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, West of Seminole on Hwy 270. Pastor Carl Whitfield will be officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
