Stinnett Peggy Sue (Cowen) Stinnett, age 77 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away May 1, 2026 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Assembly of God Church in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. James Williams and Dan Gomez will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. The family will greet guests from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

She is survived her husband, Darrell Stinnett of the home; one son, Troy Stinnett and wife, Julie of Konawa; a nephew that they help to raise, James McGee and wife, Mandy of Blanchard, Oklahoma; two brothers, Eddie Cowen of Harrah, Oklahoma, and Raymond Cowen of Okemah, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Cowen and Flora Eakens.
