Ware Seminole resident LaVonne Ware, 84, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at her home.

LaVonne, the daughter of Edwin and Marie (Moutaw) Lancaster, was born on September 27, 1941, in Seminole. On November 5, 1955, she married Jimmy Ware in Seminole.

LaVonne was a longtime member of the Seminole Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her friends and neighbors both in Seminole and at Lake Eufaula, where she enjoyed riding her golf cart through the neighborhood, often accompanied by her beloved fur babies, Pixie and Rusty. She also took great pride in maintaining the yards at both her Seminole home and her lake property.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ware; her parents, Marie Morton and Edwin Lancaster; her grandparents, Bertha and Joe Lancaster, who helped raise her; her daughter, Jane Kreeger; her son-in-law, Danny Kreeger; and her father-in-law and motherin- law, Clyde and Edith Lee Ware.

LaVonne is survived by her daughter and sonin- law, Teresa and Steve Dean of Seminole; four grandchildren, Lynnette Knight, Kyle Kreeger, Jeff Dean, and Colt Kreeger; ten great-grandchildren, Braylee Signorelli, Rylan Knight, Jackson Kreeger, Jalyn Knight, Nevaeh Louie, Reece Kreeger, Jett Kreeger, Oliver Kreeger, Rosalie Kreeger, and Bryce Dean; three great-great-grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt, and Walker Signorelli; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home, with Colt Kreeger and Barry Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
