Amanda Davenport- Sowder, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2:44 AM, at the age of 48.

Born on July 18, 1978, in Providence, Rhode Island, Amanda later made her home in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and resilience, she spent over a decade working as a receiving clerk with Lowe’s Home Improvement, along with her time at State Restaurant Equipment Company.

Above all, Amanda was devoted to the family she built and loved. She shared a life of deep devotion, partnership, and cherished memories with her husband, Michael Sowder, celebrating their anniversary each year on the 4th of July. She was a woman who faced life head-on, fiercely protected the ones she held close, and brought a unique warmth, humor, and spark to those who truly knew her heart. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and memory remain an indelible part of her family.

Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Michael Sowder; her parents, John and Barbara Davenport; her biological daughters, Alexxis Kennedy, Marlana Davenport- Hayes, and Kayla Ruesch; her stepchildren, Shawn Sowder, Nicole Sowder, and Michael (Mikey) Sowder Jr.; her siblings, including her best friend and sister, Crystal Davenport; her nieces and nephews, Johnathan Davenport, Anthony Funk, Charlotte Davenport, and Jase Davenport; and her cherished grandchildren, Royal, Aurora, Riot Kennedy, Amiyah Howell, Hadley Ruesch, and several other dearly loved grandchildren. She also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday, September 26 for family and friends at 6 PM at their home.
