Jack Hamilton

Seminole, OK resident Jack LaGene Hamilton passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Seminole at the age of 80. Jack was born on July 1, 1945 to Gene Porter and Marjorie Laverne (Miller) Hamilton. Gene passed away before Jack was born. Laverne and JB Sliger married and JB loved and raised Jack as his own.

Jack was a 1963 Byng High School Graduate. He worked on a drilling rig in the oilfield. He married the love of his life Pam Schoner on October 13, 1983 in Yantis, TX. Jack loved spending time with his family. In his younger years he enjoyed working on cars. Jack found joy in team roping, good horses and raising and showing game chickens. He also played cards and dominos.

Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pam Hamilton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Kim Hamilton of Douglass, KS, Keith and Wendy Hamilton of Seminole, OK and Steve and Gayla Hamilton of Seminole, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ron and Julie Townsend of Kingfisher, OK and Andy and Jamie Scott of Seminole, OK; two brothers, Hal Sliger of Byng, OK and Ricky Sliger of Byng, OK; two sisters, Gela Peterson of Byng, OK and Lisa Groves of Byng, OK; 15 grandchildren, Josh, Kailey, Jordan, Zack, Taylor, Hunter, Dustin, Dakota, Shelby, Logan, Sierra, Peyton, Ty, Abbi and Ashleigh; 11 Hamilton great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Gene Hamilton; father who raised him and mother, JB and Laverne Sliger; brothers- in-law, Pete Peterson and Steve Groves.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Josh Hamilton, Dustin Hamilton, Hunter Hamilton, Ty Scott, Jay Sliger and Sam Smelser. Honorary casket bearers will be Paul Snow, Jerry Renner, Joe French, Stewart Ryan, Justin Groves, Mason Groves, Matt Groves and Johnathan Groves.

Viewing will be Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Interment will follow at Lula Cemetery in Lula, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
