Barbara Mowbray (Howard) Griggs

Griggs Barbara Mowbray Griggs, age, 78 passed away on October 18th, 2025 at St Ann’s Nursing Home in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joshua Lee Griggs, and siblings Robert (Bobby) Howard, John Campbell Howard, Pascal Howard, Lee Pierce Howard, Mary Howard, and Joan Imes.

She is survived by her daughters, Shaun Derouen and her husband, Jon of Edmond, Oklahoma and Julianne Herrera and her fiancée Jeff Mason of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and one granddaughter. She is survived by siblings Margaret Ann Synder of Jacksonville, Florida, Jamie Howard and his wife Tracy of Norman, Oklahoma, Philip Howard and his wife Jane of Wewoka, Oklahoma. and brother in law John Imes of Warner, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces and Nephews.

A Rosary for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, October, 21 2025 at 7:00pm at the Stout- Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 10:00 am at the St Stephen Catholic Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma with internment following at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s name with Catholic Charities of Oklahoma City or a charity of your choice.
