Ola Mae (Starnes) Blakely

Blakely Ola Mae (Starnes) Blakely, born August 30, 1944 in Wewoka, Oklahoma, passed away July 2 at her home surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Blakely Sr. (Bo); father, Gentry Starnes Sr; mother, Mattie (Moore) Starnes; brothers, Melvin Bruner, Ivory Starnes, and Gentry Starnes Jr.; sisters, Lottie Lee Starnes and Ollie Starnes Payne; daughter, Jessalyn Smith, and great-granddaughter, Dezaniyah Harrison.

Ola Mae is survived by one son, James Blackshire Jr. and wife Cathy of Wewoka, OK; two daughters, Angela Blackshire and husband Roosevelt of Shawnee, OK, Marketta Carlson and husband Richard of Shawnee, OK; one special son Labron Cosby and wife Quita of Shawnee, OK; brothers, Richard Bruner of Holdenville, OK, Henry Starnes and wife Sharlene of Moore, OK, Johnny Starnes and wife Sharon of Seminole, OK, Keath Starnes and wife Beth of Shawnee, OK; three sisters, Imogene (Starnes) Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK, Mattie Ruth (Starnes) Booker of Shawnee, OK, Theresa Starnes of Wewoka, OK; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2025 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK with Tony Randolph officiating. Interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.
