Inetha Louis (Williams) Watters, age 87 and a resident of Heritage Village Nursing Home of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Kevin Duck will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Casket bearers are Austin Blackburn, Trenton Roulston, Jacob Kirkwood, James Merrell, Joseph Kirkwood, Dustin Heath, and Josh Kirkwood.

Honorary bearers are Bobby Flanary, Rick Flanary, Paul Merrell, John Merrell, Robie Watters, and Tanner Watters.

Inetha was born April 7, 1933 in Konawa to James Williams and Estie (Price) White.

After receiving her G.E.D., she graduated from vocational school in Byng, Oklahoma and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma for many years. She then worked for several nursing homes, and later worked as a private care nurse before retirement.

Inetha married John Watters on December 6, 1949 at Hicks Hill in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, and they were blessed with six children.

She was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church.

She loved shopping, visiting family, fishing, and riding horses. After retirement, Inetha loved to travel and “keep the roads hot”. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three sons, Keith Watters and wife, Debbie of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Kevin Watters of Sasakwa, and Kenny Watters and wife, Debbie also of Sasakwa; three daughters, Janet Merrell and husband, Jack of Konawa, Vickie Watson of Sasakwa, and Debbie Flanary and husband Joe of Konawa; two brothers, Claude Jones and Tommy Williams, both of Jacktown, Oklahoma; two sisters, Shirley Jones and Dorothy Wade, both of Jacktown Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren, Robie Watters, Rick Flanary, Bobby Flanary, Paul Merrell, Angela Roberts, Jennifer Blackburn, Lisa Franklin, Jared Norman, Tanner Watters, John Merrell, Kim McDonald, Jodie Lee, Mandy Evans, Chris Watters, Dustin Heath, Ali Scoate, and Amy Lanning; forty-one great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Williams and Estie White; husband, John Watters in December, 1996; three grandchildren, Christina Brown, Terry Flanary, and Billy Brazell; one infant great grandson; two brothers, Bobby Jones and Louie Williams; and three sisters, Linda Jones, Sharon Brock, and Opal Brazell.
