Seminole County Schools Represent At Holdenville XC Invitational
The 2025 Cross Country season is coming to a close as three of our county schools participated in the Holdenville XC Invitational this past Saturday.
Konawa, New Lima and Wewoka represented Seminole County in the invitational.
The high school girls 2-mile (3200m) run started things off with Wewoka Lady Tiger Priscilla Alaniz placing second with a time of 13:01.7.
Wewoka Lady Tigers Emerson Gates placed 20th with a time of 15:28.4, Nevaeh Smith placed 25th with a time of 15:53.1 and Kinley Vanlandingham placed 64th with a time of 23:26.1 Konawa Lady Tigers Chloe Tebe placed 31st with a time of 16:25.4, Amanda Martinez placed 46th with a time of 17:20.3 and Rebeckah Sitton placed 49th with a time of 17:38.3.
The high school boys 3.1 mile (5K) run followed the high girls run.
Konawa Tigers Raydon Sitton placed 34th with a time of 19:03.7 and Derek Santarosa placed 83rd with a time of 26:27.9 Wewoka Tiger Antonio Bustos placed 57th with a time of 21:23.1.
New Lima Falcons Leland Coon placed 63rd with a time of 22:23.1 and Daniel Amos placed 74th with a time of 23:53.
Next up for Konawa is a cross country meet in Lexington on October 2nd for both junior high and high school. On October 7th, just the high school will compete at North Rock Creek.
Next up for New Lima the McLoud cross country meet on the 4th of October and Stroud on the 11th. New Lima’s junior high and high school teams will compete at both.
Next up for Wewoka is North Rock Creek on the 7th and 25th of October. Just the high school will be competing at these meets.
