The Sasakwa Vikings posted their second shutout of the season and fifth overall win on the season at home Friday night against the Midway Chargers.

The game didn’t last too long as the Vikings took care of business early and kept the scoreboard lit up.

Sasakwa’s Sherman Mitchell scored the first touchdown and Darius Henderson scored the next as well as the twopoint conversion.

Vikings Joseph Lunn scored a rushing touchdown then Henderson got back in the action with another touchdown with Titus Collins scoring the two-point conversion.

Viking Titan Collins scored the next with Jo Jo (Joseph) Lunn scoring the two-point conversion. Sasakwa’s Mitchell scored the last and game winning touchdown to put the Vikings up 48-0 to shut out the Chargers.

The Vikings will be on the road on the 16th (Thursday) at Maysville.

The next home game for the Vikings is on the 24th against Graham-Dustin.

The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
