Oklahoma Women’s Basketball Schedule for 2025-2026 Released
SOONER WIRE - The Oklahoma Sooners women’s basketball team released its full schedule for the 2025-2026 basketball season. Fresh off their first Sweet 16 appearance under Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners approach the season with even loftier goals.
The Oklahoma Sooners bring back a ton of talent from last year’s squad, a group that finished fourth in the standing in their first year in the SEC. The Sooners return Raegan Beers, Payton Verhulst, Sahara Williams, Beatrice Culliton, Zya Vann, and Caya Smith.
They also welcome a stacked freshman class, highlighted by the No. 1 player in the nation in the 2025 recruiting class, Aliyah Chavez. Bethany’s Keziah Lofton was the No. 41 player in the cycle, and Brooklyn Stewart out of Colorado Springs was the No. 57 player in the class.
It’s a roster that has experience and young talent ready to break into the rotation. The season is now less than a month away.
The Oklahoma Sooners will open the season with an exhibition game against Oklahoma Christian at the Lloyd Noble Center on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. The Sooners’ first regular season game will take place on Monday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m. CT against Belmont.
A week later, the Sooners will get their first big test of the season against the UCLA Bruins, a team that is No. 3 in ESPN’s preseason power rankings. It’s an early-season opportunity to make a statement against one of the best teams in the nation.
The Sooners will begin SEC play on New Year’s Day with a road trip to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies.
