FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2025 DEARABBY: My 38-yearold daughter attempted suicide a week ago. She had been living with her fiance, and they shared an apartment and had two cats. My wife and I brought her home from the hospital, and she’s staying with us.

DEAR ABBY: I met an acquaintance a few months ago during a brief work situation. We struck up a friendship (or so I thought) and have had lunch or dinner together a few times.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2025 DEAR ABBY: My son just told me his daughter, age 26, is getting breast enhancement surgery. My question is, how do I address that when next I see her, probably in several months? It’s not like commenting on a new hair color or hairdo.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25, 2025 DEAR ABBY: I have three kids. One of them, “Jake,” is in his early 20s. He has medical issues, so he has always been babied to a certain degree. Jake has struggled with jobs, drugs, friends and places to live. Somehow, he always ends up back with me.

SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2025 DEAR ABBY: I recently reconnected with a colleague from work. We were friendly, but not really what I would call friends. We reconnected on social media and have had lunch a few times. The problem is, she has become a very negative, aggressive, angry person.

Do you remember elementary school recess? At our school, we ate lunch right before playtime. We’d line up single file to walk through the food line. The plate lunch often included gravy-laden mystery meat – beef or possibly bird – plus mashed potatoes and something green or yellow.

Two elderly sisters, one widowed and the other never married, were living together. They had decided the year before that because the oldest owned her house, the younger should leave a rented apartment and move into her sister’s second bedroom.

It took country and gospel singer, Johnny Cash (19322030), to write a book that was so good Billy Graham said he and his wife both read it twice! That endorsement encouraged me to order the book, entitled MAN IN WHITE online.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21, 2025 DEAR ABBY: My husband puts everyone first before me. An example: We were invited to his aunt Diana’s 50th wedding anniversary. His father was their best man but couldn’t make it due to illness.

THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 2025 DEAR ABBY: My wife and I are retired seniors. We live in a beautiful twostory house we built 14 years ago. At the time, we thought it would be our final home, but in my opinion, it no longer meets our needs. I want to move and downsize.
