Last week, we introduced and then began to unpack the biblical story of Cain killing his brother Abel (Gen 4:1-17), all the while maintaining a keen focus upon God’s character and His justice in an attempt to gain a better understanding of why God may possibly allow evil to exist.

DEAR ABBY: A few years ago, my uncle made a controversial comment about a social issue in my mom’s family group text. The issue was important enough to my sister that she requested discussion about it cease because she didn’t agree with what they were saying.

DEAR ABBY: I’m 22, and my boyfriend is 21. We’ve been dating for a few months. At a recent family dinner, his maternal grandfather hit on me. I was helping to clear the dinner table and leaned across the table to grab some dirty plates when Grandpa shoved his hand up my skirt.

DEAR ABBY: Two years ago, a close friend of my husband’s and mine asked us to be the “best couple” in their wedding. After being postponed for a year due to some family issues, the wedding is coming up soon. My husband and I have been married 25 years. We have a strong, faithful bond.

DEAR ABBY: I text my older sister often. Last month, I sent her a long message consisting of information and chitchat. To my surprise, it was not answered by her, but by her daughter (who I am not fond of).

Chickens have forever had a place in our hearts and on our tables. Why is that? Well … why not? And so I’d like you to come with me back to the summer of 1970, ‘way up north of Fairbanks, Alaska, to what was once the thriving gold mining village of Chicken, Alaska.

The difference between a whistleblower or a tattler is their mission- no matter what they publicly declare. Whistling is to trying prevent potential disaster from happening to innocent people. In other words, whistleblowing is attempting to do your part to make sure bad stuff doesn’t continue.

When created by our Creator we were already special before birth. We learn as we grow up that we have certain personality traits, and even certain potential skills.

DEAR ABBY: My friend of 50 years passed away a few months ago. I sent a fruit basket to her family and tried calling, but I was unable to get through. I couldn’t reach them via email or text either. I also sent a sympathy card. I heard nothing back from her husband or the daughter I am closest to.
