The first book I read of former atheist C. S. Lewis’ was SURPRISED BY JOY. When his mother died, his father sent him to a boarding school because he thought he’d be raised more properly than what he could do. This horrible experience was devastating for the young boy.

Parenting kids…tough stuff. And just think of doing that same job from God’s point of view. He’s responsible for the same…guiding you and me to become good adults. Not a job that you would hear me volunteering to do in a trillion lightyears. Just imagine.

FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026 DEAR ABBY: My son took out a couple of education loans, which I cosigned when he was starting college 10 years ago. A couple of years ago, I found out (from someone else) that he never finished college.

Taken as a whole, it seems that the totality of what Near Death Experiences (NDEs) reveal is twofold.

I’ve often written and spoken about the importance of the “success sequence." Basically, people who do three things will almost never live in poverty. First, graduate from high school and enter the workforce or obtain a college degree. Second, get a job. And third, get married.
