Being “one of 18” was a lifelong reason to be proud for the family members of JW and Velma Anson; being the first to leave was the heartbreaking reality of their daughter, Kathleen Anson Heard. The Ansons were wellknown locally and even featured in national media for the size of their family.

Diana Louise (Cox) Knowles, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, vibrant life, and nurturing care.

Carolyn Jo (McCraw) Johnston, age 61 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away May 23, 2025 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

Pitts Paul Martin Pitts, passed away at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 21, 2025 at the age of 57. He was born to Eugene S. & Martha Pitts in Seminole, Oklahoma on January 24, 1968. Paul attended Seminole Public schools and graduated with the class of 1986.

Roy Dale Taff, 77, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Oklahoma City at St. Anthony’s Hospital due to complications from a massive stroke. Roy was born in Bray, Oklahoma, to Joseph John and Mary Emily Taff.

Ross Norman resident, Patricia Kay Ross, 62, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her home. Patty, the daughter of Houston and Maggie Jane (Harjo) Ross, was born March 12, 1963, in Seminole. She attended Strother Schools and graduated with the Strother Class of 1981.

Oliver Lillian Mae Oliver, Seminole, OK resident passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 97. Lillian was born on June 26, 1927 in Wister, OK to John Alvis and Alice Sible (Lowery) Box. She married Early Edward “Bud” Oliver on March 28, 1946 in Mena, Arkansas.

Elena “Dolly” Gaines, 98 of Collinsville, OK passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Owasso, OK. She was born March 11, 1.627 in Wilburton, OK to Alphus M Redwine, and the former Artemissa M Graham.

Watkins Billie Ann Watkins age 73, and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Ada, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M.

Russell Marvin Ray Russell, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home at the age of 89. Marvin was born on September 15, 1935 in Stroud, OK to William Lee and Lillie Lillian (Hulsey) Russell.
