Students from Oklahoma State University are preparing for the Rural Scholars program offered by Oklahoma State University’s Rural Renewal Initiative, which also includes participants from universities nationwide.
Seminole State College has released the names of honor roll students for the 2026 spring semester. Three separate honor rolls recognize students for their academic achievements. This semester 455 students were named to either the President’s, Vice President’s or Part-Time Student’s Honor Rolls.
The Multi-County Grand Jury has indicted six individuals in connection with a scheme to cash over $100,000 in fraudulent checks at Walmart Supercenters across Oklahoma. The defendants are accused of using fraudulent checks, stolen identities and fraudulent temporary driver’s licenses to obtain cash.
Seminole’s Municipal Swimming Pool will open for the summer Sunday afternoon, according to manager Herb Gunter.
The pool will be open from 1-9 p.m. Monday through Saturdays, he said, and from 1-6 p.m. on Sundays Wading pools for smaller children will open on June 1.
