The Wewoka Tiger Cross Country team traveled to Shawnee to compete in the OBU Cross Country Challenge on a very hot Thursday afternoon.

The team came away with some of their best times of the season and a first-place finish.

For the girl’s 3200-meter 1A-2A run, Freshman Priscilla Alaniz won first place with a time of 12:54.40.

Freshman Emerson Gates placed 11th with a time of 14:39.60.

Freshman Rachel Davidson placed 18th with a time of 15:39.72.

For the boy’s 5000meter 1A-2A run, Antonio Bustos set a personal record and placed 33rd with a time of 25:26.72.

The Wewoka team will compete at North Rock Creek on the 7th and 25th of October
