Varnum Whippet basketball player and athlete, C.J. Benard has signed his letter of intent to play basketball for Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

C.J. is a senior and has played basketball, baseball and track throughout his high school years.

The Varnum Whippets went 25-4 in the 2024-25 basketball season and were ranked #2. C.J. also surpassed his 1,000point mark in his basketball career this year.

C.J. has shown his love for sports and continues to exceed in everything he does. Benard’s next chapter has begun, and we all hope him the best.
