Supreme Nation Wins State Tournament
On March 1st and 2nd in Ada, the Supreme Nation basketball team won the Oklahoma State Tournament in dominant fashion.
The team went the season undefeated and swept the competition during the tournament.
The Supreme Nation has kids from different surrounding schools and two kids from Seminole County, Lakota Tilley and Aaliyah Raghoebar. Both girls attend Varnum public schools.
Supreme Nation faced the Lady Pirates from Byng in the first round of the tournament and won 33-24.
In the second round, the team faced Team Oklahoma from Piedmont and won 42-21.
In the Championship game, the team faced the Plainview Indians from Plainview and won 35-10.
Supreme Nation finished the league season 6-0 and their overall record was 9-0.
“We qualified for the Oklahoma State Invitational Tournament,” stated Head Coach Jose Bustos. “To earn our spot at the State Tournament, we had to win the league regional championship in Ada, Oklahoma, where our team went undefeated. I am so proud of these kids.”
