Seminoles Fall at Home Tuesday Night Against Ardmore
The Seminole Chieftains hosted the Ardmore Tigers in their first home game of the season.
The Seminole Lady Chieftains took on the #17 in 4A Ardmore Lady Tigers first to start the evening.
The Lady Tigers jumped out to an early start to the game. Jaxie Satawake of Seminole scored 5 points in the first quarter to put the Lady Chieftains on the board.
Ardmore hit a couple of three pointers to go on a 24-6 run in the second frame.
The Lady Tigers had a commanding lead at the half with a score of 54-12.
Jaelynne Knighton of Seminole knocked down a three-point shot to fire up the crowd, but the Lady Tigers never let off the gas and tallied up 20 more points in the third quarter.
The Seminole Lady Chieftains had no answer for Ardmore in the final frame. The Lady Tigers cruised in for the win for a final score of 82-25.
Scoring for the Lady Chieftains was Jaxie Satawake with 10 points and was 6 of 10 from the free throw line.
Ryeley Stanfill had 6 points and Jaelynne Knighton
had 5 points with one trey.
The Seminole Chieftain boys took on the #19 Ardmore Tigers boys next.
The Chieftains had a slow start to the game as the Tigers went on a 20-9 run in the first.
Seminole fired back in the second with Dontre Garfield scoring 7 points and one trey, but Ardmore applied the pressure, knocking down five threepoint
shots in the quarter to go up 56-27 at the half.
Seminole continued to battle in the third and close the gap some, but the Tigers continued with their offensive pressure and made it hard for a comeback rally.
Carter Childs drained a three-point shot in the fourth as the Chieftains never gave up and continued to battle. Seminole went on an 18-12 run in the final frame but the Ardmore lead was too far out of reach. The Ardmore Tigers
won 93-59.
Scoring for the Chieftains was Dontre Garfield with 11 points, one trey and was 4 of 4 from the line.
Braydon Smith had 10 points and Nehemiah Harge had 10 points and was 2 for 2 from the line.
