Posted in:

Seminole High School Senior track star Jaelynne Knighton made history yesterday at the 66 conference track meet in Okemah, breaking the school record in the 100m dash with a blistering time of 12.49 seconds. This impressive achievement marks a new chapter in Jaelynne’s already standout career, as she surpassed the previous record set by Kennedy Coker in 2022.

But that wasn’t all. The multi-talented sprinter also set a personal best in the 200m dash, finishing with a time of 26.90 seconds, showcasing her strength and versatility on the track. Her performances helped propel the team to a strong finish at the meet and cement her reputation as one of the area’s top sprinters.

Seminole’s next track and field event will be at Ada on the 14th and will be at Velma-Alma on the 25th before regionals.

Regionals will be on the 29th.

Congratulations Jaelynne Knighton!
