Seminole County Schools Compete at State Track Meets

Two Seminole County schools participated in the Western Heights State Track Meet this weekend.

The Strother Yellowjackets and the Varnum Whippets competed at Western Heights and the Seminole Chieftains competed at the McAlester site.

Field events at Western Heights

Girls Pole Vault IA Karsyn Lowry of Varnum placed 6th with a jump of 7-6 Boys Pole Vault Devyn Fullbright of Varnum placed 11th with a jump of 10-0 Boys High Jump IA Kayden Schultz of Strother placed 12th with a jump of 5-10 Boys Long Jump IA C.J. Benard of Varnum placed 8th with a jump of 20-1.25

Running Events at Western Heights

Girls 3200M run IA Karsyn Lowry of Varnum placed 7th with a time of 13:16.12 Girls 110M Hurdles IA Olivia Speers of Strother placed 15th with a time of 17.47 Boys 110M Hurdles IA Kamell Stewart of Varnum placed 11th with a time of 17.22 Girls 400M run IA Skylar Yott of Varnum placed 13th with a time of 1:05.20 Boys 300M Hurdles IA Devyn Fullbright of Varnum placed 13th with a time of 44.08 Boys 200M run IA Peyton Moody of Strother placed 14th with a time of 23.85 Girls 1600M run Karsyn Lowry of Varnum placed 9th with a time of 6:06.62 The Seminole Lady Chieftains broke a school record in the 4 x !00M relay at the McAlester site.

The team consisted of Zoey Babb, Jaelynn Knighton, Ryeley Stanfill and Jaxie Satawakie..
