Seminole County Basketball District Champions
The OSSAA District Championships were held at several different locations this past Thursday and Friday for Class A through Class B-II.
Seminole County had six high schools win their district championships.
In the girls’ division of Class B-I, District 4, Strother Lady Yellowjackets won their district against LeFlore with a score of 50-32. In District 6, Varnum Lady Whippets won their district against Wetumka with a score of 73-13.
In Class B-II, District 6, Bowlegs Lady Bison won their district against Schulter 52-42. In District 8, New Lima Falconettes won their district against Mill Creek 52-45.
In the boy’s division of Class B-I, District 4, Strother Yellowjackets won their division against Gans 75-30. In District 6, Varnum Whippets won their district against Wetumka 71-54. In District 4 at Thackerville, Sasakwa Vikings won their district against Ryan 84-32.
In Class B-II, District 6, Maud Tigers won their district against Bowlegs Bison 69-63.
Regionals games played Thursday
Bowlegs Bowlegs Bison will face Oklahoma School for the Deaf at Maud at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
New Lima New Lima Falcons will face Graham-Dustin at New Lima at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Sasakwa Sasakwa Lady Vikings will face Sentinel at Sterling at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Class 2A and 4A Districts
In Class 2A, Konawa and Wewoka will start their districts on Thursday and Seminole Class 4A will start their districts Saturday.
Konawa will play at Vanoss, against Vanoss.
Wewoka will play at Wewoka against Warner.
Seminole will play at North Rock Creek against North Rock Creek.
The Strother Yellowjackets won the Class B-I, District 4 Championship over Gans 75-30.
