Seminole Chieftain Tennis Place 9th Overall at State

This past weekend, May the 16th and 17th, the Seminole boy’s tennis team had two players compete at the State tournament. Seminole tied for nineth place overall during the tournament with Lincoln Christian.

NO. 1 SINGLES Championship Seventh Place

Easton Atiya, Seminole def. Gus Byrd, Ada, 6-2, 6-1

Consolation Semifinals

Hayden Shriner, Casady def. Easton Atiya, Seminole, 2-6, 6-1, (10-6)

Consolation Quarterfinals

Easton Atiya, Seminole def. Zach Draper, Grove, 6-2, 6-0

Quarterfinals

Quinn Brewer, Elk City def. Easton Atiya, Seminole, 6-3, 6-3

First Round Easton Atiya, Seminole def. Ian Ward, Harding, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 Easton Atyia competed at #1 singles, finishing 7th place. Easton finishes his career as a 3x state qualifier, a 1x State tournament medalist, and a 2x OSSAA tennis all-star, making him All-State eligible. He finished this season with a record of 28-10.

First Round

Greyson Snyder, Seminole def. Tucker Brodrick, Grove, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 Greyson Snyder competed at #2 singles, where he finished fourth place, earning a spot on the state podium. By earning a spot in the top 4, Greyson finishes his career as a 1x state tournament medalist, a 2x State qualifier, and is a 1x OSSAA tennis All-Star, making him Allstate eligible for his senior season. He finished this season with a record of 28-10.
