Sasakwa Vikings Stay Undefeated with Win Over Maud

The Sasakwa Vikings played the in-county Maud Tigers Friday night for their homecoming game and stay undefeated on the season.

During the Homecoming ceremonies, Sasakwa elected Kenzie Wheeler as their Queen and Joseph Lunn as their King.

The Vikings entered the game undefeated with an 4-0 record on the season.

The Maud Tigers have struggled this season and were looking for their first win.

In the first quarter, both teams went back and forth on offense and lightening up the score board.

The Viking defense stepped their game throughout the rest of the game and kept the Tigers from making it a close game and tough on the Viking offense.

No play-by-play information was given on the game.

Sasakwa had over 300 yards on offense in a 64-18 landslide victory Friday night at home.

Quarterback Thad Harjo of Sasakwa went 9 of 15, passing for 259 yards and three touchdowns.

On defense for the Vikings, Darius Henderson had 12 tackles, one for a loss and an interception.

Braydon Lamb had 10 tackles, 2 for a loss and one pass deflection.

Joseph Lunn had nine tackles, one for a loss and a big hit.

No Maud stats were given on the game.
