New Lima Fall at Home Tuesday Against Earlsboro

The New Lima Falcons hosted the Earlsboro Wildcats for their third home game of the 2024-25 season Tuesday night.

Earlsboro proved to be too much for the Falcons and Lady Falcons.

The Falconettes started the evening off but had a hard time on offense in the first quarter. The defense of the New Lima held the Lady Wildcats to 10 points in the frame.

The Lady Wildcats pressured on offense in the second with a couple of three-points shots to extend their lead. The Falconettes found some momentum in the quarter and scored 7 points with one of them being a three-point shot from Avaleigh Fields.

Earlsboro had the lead heading into the half with a score of 30-11.

The Lady Falcons continued to battle in the third and scored 7 points while the defense stepped up again and held the Lady Wildcats to 12 points scored.

The Falconettes were looking at a 24-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter.

Earlsboro continued to press but the Lady Falcons defense continued to fight to the end and held the Lady Wildcats to 10 points scored. The Falconettes added 7 more points to their score.

The Earlsboro Lady Wildcats won the game with a final score of 52-25.

Scoring for New Lima was Jazzy Harjo with 8 points, Layla Cecil with 6 points and Aubrey Washington with 5 points.

The Falcon boys hit the court next. The Earlsboro boys took the early lead with a couple of treys to go on 21-8 run in the first quarter.

New Lima settled down a bit in the second and lit up the scoreboard with Waylon Neal and Logan Heard hitting their shots from the 3-point range.

Elias Barraza and Quintin Lana of Earlsboro hit their own treys to further their lead.

At the break, Earlsboro’s score was 49, New Lima 19.

The Falcons struggled on offense in the second half but continued to battle. The defense of New Lima stepped up and held the Wildcats to 14 points scored in the frame.

The Wildcats Barraza and Lana continued with their aerial display and knocked down four threepoint shots in the third.

The Falcons were in a hole but never gave up and continued to fight on defense and held the Wildcats to 11 points in the final frame.

The Earlsboro Wildcats won the game with a final score of 74-27.

Scoring for New Lima was Logan Heard with 7 points and one trey, Angel Clark had 6 points and Alex Leaver had 4 points.

Next up for the Falcons is a home game against Butner today at 6:30 p.m.
