Bowlegs Bison Post Shutout Victory Over Midway
The Bowlegs Bison get their sixth win of the season with a shutout 52-0 victory over Midway Saturday night.
Bowlegs hosted the Midway Chargers in a lopsided win in a football game that only lasted until halftime.
The Bison won the toss and elected to receive the ball. Bowlegs marched the ball down field and quarterback Hudson Jasna handed the ball off to running back Colton Sullivan for a 25-yard touchdown. Austin Byrd converted the two-point conversion.
On the kickoff, Bowlegs elected to kick an onside kick and executed the play. Bowlegs were back on offense. Sullivan would score a rushing touchdown from 34 yards out. Byrd would convert the two points.
At the 4:21 mark of the first quarter, the Chargers threw up a pass and Hudson Jasna intercepted the ball and ran it back for a touchdown. The conversion failed.
On Bowlegs’ next offensive drive, the duo of Byrd and Sullivan struck again. Austin Byrd scored on a 40-yard run and Sullivan converted the two points.
Just before the first quarter ended, Bowlegs had moved the ball down inside the redzone and Jasna scored on a 3-yard run. Wide receiver Jacob Lewis converts the two-point conversion.
Bowlegs had a 38-0 lead at end of the first quarter.
On the Bison’s next drive, running back Caleb Harjo scored a touchdown on a 59-yard run to add to the Bison lead.
At the 8-minute mark of the second, number 3 Tylar Lee scored on a 15-yard touchdown run to put the game away.
The Bowlegs Bison posted a shutout win with a final score of 52-0.
