What Strange Things Are Happening to Our Foods?

…And Then What Happened?
Posted in:

Seeds and plants have been going through changes in labs, especially since the 90s. On packaging labels it used to be referred to as GMO (which stands for genetic modified organisms), but now to further confuse people, the term ‘bio-engineered’ is being used. This is stated in numerous videos. What does that mean?

I watched about 5-20 videos about that term and all say the same thing: food or organisms containing detectable genetic material modified in a lab through techniques that can’t be achieved via traditional breeding or found in Nature.’ That means, in order to grow more plants and animals faster, growing them in challenging climates, and getting higher yields, companies make more money faster than supplying these goods in a natural way—the way God created. Money seems to override quality and safety.

Genetically modified means the DNA in plants and animals has been altered (or messed with). Studies have shown that reactions to these foods can cause allergies, antibiotic resistance, unknown long-term effects on gut micro biome and health, and affects immune health etc. So much beef, pork, and chicken won’t have that on their labels because their feed has GMOS in it, they digest it, and they say its not detectable —but that doesn’t mean it’s not there!

The U.S. along with 64 other countries mandate labeling of foods with ‘bio-engineering,’ even though this is hard to find on some labels—or you have to use the QR code to find that info, but not everyone has smartphones. Some are printed so small that it takes a magnifying glass to see them, or there are phone numbers you can call to get this information.

At this time an estimate of 80% of our foods contain GMO ingredients. Most foods include alfalfa, some salmon and wheat,-cano-la, cotton/cotton seed, some eggplants, some papaya, soybeans, summer squash, pink fresh pineapple, potatoes, sugar beets, and zucchini and a lot of canned and frozen foods.

When science decides to alter natural substances that we put in our bodies, long term testing to prove whether it’s harmful or not should ALWAYS be done. Since the 90s when the DNA of foods began be altered, it’s a proven fact that health of people of all ages has been compromised to the extent of more drugs and medications being used like never before. It’s finally being learned that good nutrition can bring healing faster than staying on drugs for long periods or even a lifetime. Now, our government officials are working around the clock to ban the use of chemicals, food dyes, too much sugar and use of artificial sweeteners, petroleum additives, and anything unnatural in our food supply, especially brightly colored cereals, candy, soft drinks, and snacks. In fruits alone, experimentation with their DNA can produce seedless watermelons, pink pineapple and oranges, etc., etc. They were not naturally created that way.

The effects of GMO, chemicals, and dyes can affect children badly. Children’s’ diseases have overwhelmingly increased just since the 90’s because of obvious changes in foods. I even saw several videos of doctors say that they are beginning to change the teaching in medical schools to include nutrition in the healing process. Big Pharma will fight this because if people would eat healthier, they wouldn’t need so much medication and surgeries. Then, billions of dollars would be lost.

It can be risky eating out because restaurants, cafeterias, food trucks, or fastfoods do not have GMO information. The presenters say it is safer to buy food marked ‘organic’ and to buy whole, fresh foods that are not processed. Cooking healthy foods is the answer. Home Economics needs to be brought back in schools to teach young people food preparation, housekeeping, personal financing, etc. to ready them for the future. It may be more convenient to buy precooked or fast foods, but suffering from eating unhealthy foods can cause years of dependence on drugs and hospital stays for the rest of our lives.

If you think I’m being extreme, all you have to do is research the term BIO GENETICS through Google or other search engines, and YouTube videos.

Recently, I see more discussions about this on the news. Colorful cereals and candies have been banned in other countries for some time. The sooner we quit buying harmful junk foods, and the sooner our laws begin enforcing companies to stop producing garbage, (that is making them billions of dollars), the healthier our lives will become.

I had to share this in order to enlighten people who may not be up on what’s going on. But, don’t take my word for it. Find out for yourselves.

Have a blessed week!
