What Living Style Destroyed Sodom And Gomorrah?

Life’s oldest instruction book has a tradition and an awesome heritage. It's still the most modern book in the world today. It speaks to our needs.

People somehow think that in an age of scientific achievement, when knowledge has increased more in the past century than all past centuries combined that this book now is out of date. But to all who read and love the Bible still, say it IS relevant for our generation.

It is in these Holy Scriptures where we find answers to life's ultimate questions: Where did I come from?

Why am I here? Where am I going? What is my pur- pose?

Billy Graham says more than ever, churches today need to get back to the Scriptures as the basis of authority as to what is right and what is wrong. We need to prayerfully study it and to understand Who the Holy Spirit is. Instead, today people are omitting reading about what sin is, according to God’s Word. And some of the newer bibles have deleted parts they know some people wouldn't like reading: like the description of sinful acts.

Billy Graham said one of the greatest tragedies today is that, although the Bible is still an available open book, it is closed by millions-either because it's left unread or because it's read without applying it to readers themselves.

Do you understand the Bible? Behind and beneath the Bible, above and beyond the Bible is the God of the Bible and of the Universe. It reveals His will to men. Its central theme is salvation from this earth through Jesus Christ.

What's the difference between the Old and the New Testaments? The Old explains the agreement God made with men about salvation BEFORE Christ came. The New is an agreement God made with man about his salvation AFTER Christ came. It explains why Christ died for us, and that He DID rise from death, and He promises to come back after the ones who believed in Him. It's an incredible story.

The Bible was written by kings and princes, poets and philosophers, prophets and statesmen; some were schooled and some were just fishermen. (What other book is written by such a variety of men who told the most fantastic story!)

If the Bible tells us that at the beginning, sin separated man from God, why don't people today see its final results? It DOES have consequences we wouldn't want to experience.

Have you seen the TV ad informing people that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 9;29) for the sins that are celebrated today and are even taught in our schools? What happened to knowing the difference between right and wrong???

It's in the Bible: Matthew 24:37: 'Like it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man.' (Jesus). What a wake up call!

Well, this is pretty heavy stuff, but too many people are confused, fearful, and clueless. If you are one who needs some answers, go to a King James Bible and begin with prayer that God will help you understand it as you begin reading. (There are Bible apps now available.) God Bless you in finding His peace and guidance.
