April Yvette Harjo, Seminole resident departed this life on September 20, 2021 at the age of 58.

She was born on March 11, 1963 to the late George Harjo and Laverne Harrison in Claremore, OK.

She Graduated Varnum High School in 1981 then attended Seminole State College where she earned her Associates Degree.

During April’s life she enjoyed listening to Prince, going to Pow Wows, bringing joy to other people, spending time with her grandkids, family and friends. She was a very selfless person.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Waukumis Harjo, Samantha Billy, a niece Shaina Billy, a nephew Dakota Pennock and special friend Michael Brown.

She is survived by children Dustin Harjo and wife Kaila Harjo of Muskogee, Acacia Jade Harjo and Tayler of Broken Arrow, and grandchildren Kaylee, Yonsi, Prince and Osanv. Her siblings Juanita Williams of Wewoka, Debbie Harjo of Stroud, Eartha Billy of Ada, LaDawn Cameron of OKC, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pall bearers are her nephews.

Honorary Pall bearers are Young Buffalo Horse, Kenneth Williams, Kyle Lincoln, Rex Hailey, Kenneth Buckley, Dustin Elkins, Tony Bruner, Brandon Bruner, Antone Huntley, Robert Lincoln and Raymond Pennock.

Celebration of Life will be 1:00 pm Friday September 24, 2021 at the Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Officiating will be Pastor Eric Thlocco, Pastor Ben Little and Pastor Richard Wildcat.
