William Maylen

Maylen William Charles Maylen age 94, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was born March 9, 1931 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Eddie Maylen and Nancy (Tiger) Clark. He married Peggy Sallee on July 2, 1959.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove-Seminole. He enjoyed watching his grandkids’ ball games, fishing, yard work, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Peggy Maylen; siblings, Mary Louise Chotkey, Andy Clark, John Clark, Jimmy Clark; and grandson Bryce Maylen.

Charles “Bozo” is survived by his children, Keith Maylen and April Tucker of Meeker, OK, DeAnna Maylen of Wewoka, OK, DeWayne Maylen and wife Becky of Holdenville, OK, Danny Maylen and wife Valerie of Shawnee, OK; grandchildren, Christi Maylen, Meagan Tucker, Jeremiah Maylen, Courtney Stevenson, Mark Robbins, Riley Maylen, Garrett Mantooth, Montanna Maylen, Dakota Maylen, Taylor Trout, and Brady Maylen; 12 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wake service will be held from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.

Pallbearers: Sons & grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers: Grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
