William Harjo

Harjo William “Willie” Roy B. Harjo passed away on Friday, September 20, 2025 in Oklahoma City.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Sam, Lucy and Wallace. Willie is survived by his son Austin B. Harjo of Okmulgee; stepson Wayne Carpitcher; siblings Mody and Lisa B. Harjo of Denver, Co, Marsey B. Harjo of Seminole, Nancy Fixico of Seminole, Yogi and Naomi B. Harjo of Del City, OK, Sonya Larney of Denver, CO, Sharon and Mike Proctor of Henryetta, OK; three grandchildren, life-long friend Cindy Harjo and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church with Thomas Little officiating.

Interment will follow at B. Harjo Family Cemetery north of Seminole for his final resting place. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
