Vernon Ray Isaacs, age 89 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully from this life Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home.

A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Maxwell Cemetery. Rev. Drew Isaacs and Bill Isaacs will officiate. Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, and visitation is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27th and 28th at the funeral home.

Vernon Ray Isaacs was born September 9, 1931 to Jesse Isaacs and Ida Bell (Breckeen) Isaacs.

After his service in the Army, he moved to Bakersfield, California where he met and married Patsy Ruth Evans on September 2, 1955.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Isaacs of Konawa, and Danny Isaacs of Konawa; two daughters, Sheila Herndon of Kingston, Oklahoma, and Angie Young of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Isaacs of Konawa; two sisters, Lavada Archer of Glendale, Arizona, and Neva Rodgers of Konawa, nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ida Isaacs; his wife, Patsy Isaacs; four brothers, Orville, Beecher, Raymond, and Doug Isaacs; three sisters, Wyoma Peiret, Lola Roberts, and Audrey Coursey.
