Veada Capas, 61 years old lifelong Tecumseh resident, unexpectedly passed from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at her home. She was born November 2, 1960, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to parents Linsey Lee Rivers and Letha Mae (Napoleon) Rivers.

Veada worked for Shawnee Garment (later known as Roundhouse) for 30 years. She loved planting her flowers, decorating, relaxing at home, and she lover her dog, Spartacus. But most of all she loved being with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving partner, Donnie Winrow; her two loving sisters, Velma Carr and her husband Eddie Carr of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and Vanessa Alexandar of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Other survivors include her niece, Shana Christopher and her children Greg and Hailey of Oklahoma City; her nephews, Robert Ervin and his son Issac, Arsenio Carr and his wife Kelia of Shawnee, and Shawn Deshai Alexander of Shawnee. Veada also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Veada was preceded in death by her parents, Linsey and Letha Rivers; and her brother, Leonard Lee Rivers.

Viewing will begin Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. and will continue until service time.

Services will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, with interment to follow at Earlsboro Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
