Tressie Mae (Lindsey) Brower, age 91 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at her daughter’s home in Lawton, Oklahoma on December 31, 2021 under the loving care of Comanche County Memorial Hospice of Lawton.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Richard Winters will officiate.

Tressie was born March 7, 1930 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to William C. Lindsey and Dessie L. (Birdwell) Lindsey. She married James Thomas Brower on May 11, 1991 in Gainesville, Texas. She enjoyed quilting, and she loved her puppies. She worked as a seamstress for the clothing industry in several places.

She is survived by three daughters, Tressie Hickman and husband, Keith of Bourbon, Missouri, Tink Landrum of Konawa, and Kelly Hayes and husband, Michael of Lawton; two sisters, Norma Sisemore of Hale Center, Texas, and Shirley Stejskal and husband, Jerry of El Reno, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dessie Lindsey; her husband, James Thomas Brower on May 11, 1991; one son, Johnny Landrum; two daughters, Donna Landrum and Charlotte Landrum; three brothers, Melvin, Elvin, and Bobby Lindsey; and two sisters, Evelyn Faye Wright, and Almeta Marie Burkhalter.
